I have never been one of those people who always knew what
they wanted to do. Life, career, relationships will always be a journey
and I have finally figured out that work or anything for that matter canNOT define Who I Am. Everything I have experienced has expressed itself in
so many different ways, it has shaped me and I have learned from it--but it will never contain me as I will always be changing.
Sounds vague, but if you go through the process of
uncovering the layers that are artificially put there by society and culture,
you find your essence. Some of you
know what I’m taking about and some of you don’t. I never thought I would be doing this type of
work, something that is so different, almost invisible in American
society.
Reiki and Energy work changed my life completely. As a child, I was interested in the unseen,
the things one feels beyond the five senses. I was fascinated by paranormal phenomenon. It led me to ask the ultimate
question at 14, what is the purpose for being on earth? I have read different
spiritual philosophies and my passion is to Live, a great, healthy life, one of
balance.
Listening to your own inherent wisdom, intuition is one of
the keys I have found that brings me balance.
It has been quite the journey to trust something that is invisible yet
so incredibly personal and tangible. Quite
the paradox! It’s been a lifelong path of
learning between the difference of listening to my intuition and not listening
and where that puts me in life. So, NOW,
finally, I choose to listen to it, and all the experiences bring me back to the
same conclusion: listening keeps me balanced, not listening keeps me
imbalanced, but it will eventually lead me to the Now. It just seems that listening and following
that voice keeps me, Present, in the Now.
Following this intuitive path, has led me to do interesting things:
travel back and live in my birth country of Nepal. I have always wanted to do something to help Nepal
and I’ve done that with photography and writing and also by starting a
non-profit massage therapy school. It
was some of the greatest work I could ever do: teaching massage and Reiki,
designing a curriculum, recruiting Nepali’s that were from different
socio-cultural economic backgrounds. These amazing people, together in one
room, learning the power of their own touch was an extraordinary experience to
be a part of and to witness.
Even that wasn’t fully expressing my passion, however, and I
had to move on from my beloved Himalayan Healers Massage Therapy center. So I moved back to the U.S. again and long
story short, started my own practice of Reiki and Massage, and I hope to thrive
and grow into something beyond my wildest dreams.
I know I am on the right path because it nurtures and serves me well, and I am
excited to see where it takes me next! I find this is the best way to do
something for Nepal, the best way to serve humanity, just Being My True Self,
after all, isn’t that what everyone is trying to get back to?
So thank you for taking the time to visit this site, it has
been a life long, on-going plan that you are witnessing unfolding before your
(and mine) eyes! I share these gifts
that I was given (and finally accepted!) with you and support you to Be Your
True Self.
